The racist riots in Epping are symptomatic of the pathetic attempt by the far right to fan the flames of hatred against people of colour.

Here are some facts that completely dispel the myth that minorities are overrepresented as sexual predators:

Epping is around 85% white, with a population of roughly 12,000.

According to MAPPA (Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements), there are 1,596 registered sex offenders – all white.

So let’s be clear: this hysteria about refugees and migrants being a danger to communities is nothing more than racism dressed up as concern for safety.

The far right don’t care about protecting families – they care about spreading hate.

Stand against racism. Stand for truth.
