‘An incredible risk’ – Fight against controversial Birmingham youth

There’s a big unanswered question here: how exactly did Birmingham City Council decide which youth centres to keep and which to cut?

Naseby Youth Centre sits in the heart of Alum Rock – nearby Ward End an area crying out for youth support to tackle rising knife crime, anti-social behaviour, and lack of opportunities. Yet it’s being shutdown.

Steve Kay was brought in from Rochdale with no real understanding of Birmingham’s inner-city needs. His leadership has been out of touch at best – damaging at worst. Now he’s leaving, and our young people are the ones paying the price.

We need answers, transparency, and above all: support where it’s needed most.
